Southeast of Oahu
DETAILS
- The South-East Tour of the Island begins at Waikiki Beach, the birthplace of surfing and the home of many Water Sports Championships. It is the most visited beach of all the islands of Hawaii. Then we will go through the Kapiolani Park to head towards Diamond Head, which is the southern tip of the Island of Oahu. There we will stop to enjoy a beautiful view from the Mirador, then we will enter the crater in our vehicle so we can have a little experience and see the different uses it had during its history.
- The Tour continues eastward through the Kahala Zone and Hawaii Kai, where we will pass through the mansions of great magnates and celebrities residing on the Island.
- Then we can see how the geography of the island is changing when we are on the road that goes next to some small cliffs, then we will go by Sandy beach, famous beach for bodyboarding until we reach the Makapu’u viewpoint, where we can enjoy one of the best viewpoints welcoming us to the East of the Island.
- The trip continues through Waimanalo, an area famous for its organic crops and flora, the path full of vegetation will guide us to the middle of the Koolau mountains to stop at the Nu’uanu Pali viewpoint and enjoy the view of the green mountains They are lost to the North and the Ocean with their different paradisiac tones. It is there also where in May of 1795 King Kamehameha I won the battle of Nu’uanu and thus manages to unify and govern the Hawaiian Islands.
- Then we will start our descent course until we reach the Downtown of Honolulu, there we can see the Ioalini Palace where different Kings of the Hawaiian Monarchy lived, as well as the statue of King Kamehameha I.
